"half my life's in Vogue's hidden pages..."  I'm VERY tired of hearing "Dream On" on in both '73 and '76.

Jim Stafford don't like spiders'n'snakes, but Paul Simon loves rocks. Or something.

Given what a slam-bang job Bob did with 1980 yesterday, this '73 set was a tad pedestrian. Enjoyable, but no surprises.

Rick Derringer - Rock & Roll, Hoochie Koo
Doobie Brothers - China Grove
Steely Dan - My Old School
ZZ Top - La Grange
Seals & Crofts - Diamond Girl
Led Zeppelin - Dancing Days
Paul McCartney - Band on the Run
Aerosmith - Dream On
Jim Stafford - Spiders and Snakes
Paul Simon - Loves Me Like a Rock

How does supporting womens voting rights make it gender-bending?  It makes the Major a bleeding heart liberal, not a cross-dresser.

I've always interpreted it as "the major was [revealed to be] a lady" (who was a suffragette). There weren't a lot of actual lady majors back in the day. But that's just my weird imagination.

There's something delightfully Pythonish about this line.
