tuned in just in time to catch eurovision's 1974 winners. blech.

I have to disagree with the blech.
But I have a friend who grew up in Ireland, and he remembers watching Eurovision contest that year.  He said that ABBA was so different from the other acts, that he was sure they would either (1) get kicked off the show or (2) win it.

It's kind of a kick (that is if you actually like ABBA) to YouTube search for "eurovision abba waterloo" and see their original performances.
Now I'm eight bits...

hey guys, I just registered.  Nice to meet ya.

I never miss 10@10 in the mornings if I'm near a radio, and it's what makes me get out of bed at a respectable hour on Saturdays.

Love the 70s, the commercials and newsy bits.  Love Don Pardo, too.

Shuggie Otis!

Welcome aboard!  We're a very friendly, flame-free group here.
Unless Dave plays the Cars!   ;D
We all have our guilty pleasures.

Such an awesome album, and nice to hear one of the non-hits from it.  Wayback, I think it's on the bottom shelf.  ;)

Nice to have you back, Princess!  And welcome, T-Cat!  I'm swamped in boxes and files, but had to pop out to BOS "Court & Spark" and "APAS," the latter of which I was playing at Rehoboth Beach a couple days ago.
