BTW, I looked up chuffed today. Double meaning? I'm confused.

Maybe I was thinking of the wrong word?  I thought "can't be chuffed" = "can't be bothered."

Anyway, I hope you land a new situation soon.  If it's any encouragement, the Voice has reaffirmed its commitment to bringing me on full-time as soon as there's an opening and have given me a handsome raise to tide me over in the meantime.

Raises are a good thing, congrats! I'm starting to worry about loss of benefits now. Just submitted two resumes.

I'm not sure Dave has ever played this outside the Hits From Hell context.  Thing is, it's only a HFH because of the Airplane's long history.  Otherwise this would be a fine if ephemeral soundtrack entry.

Minor trivia: only Mickey and Grace appaear on this track, along with studio musicians -- Narada Michael Walden didn't want to wait for the rest of the band's availability, so he used studio hacks.

is that an ian anderson sample in "no new tale to tell?" or the real mccoy?

The real McCoy (except not really. Apparently, DeForrest Kelly was pretty gay in real life)

sounded like a narada track. what other bitching drummer would bother to take all of the acoustics out of drums?

Have a safe trip, POC! I hope you & Gaz have fun! Oh, and my friend's band, Cookie Mongoloid, is going to be playing a gig in NY soon. Maybe they'll be performing when you guys are together.
