Here's what we missed.  I woulda BOS'd 7 & 10

7. Nick Lowe - So It Goes
8. 10cc   Dreadlock Holiday
9. Cheap Trick - California Man
10. Little Feat - Spanish Moon

Agreed, and I would have added #9 as well. It's only in the DB once--this very set.

Last week Rob closed out his 1972 set with the original by, in his words, "ELO precursor The Move".  I remember looking it up and noting that it was a Roy Wood composition, not Jeff Lynne.

BOS pt. 2, Nick Lowe.

Probably my favorite Lowe song.

Me too!  And I'm sure our mutual admiration of Vonnegut has nothing to do with it!   ;) ;) ;)

Yep, but Roy Wood was also in ELO briefly after the Move split, iirc.
Let's get right to it.

Did she say anything about restarting 10at10?

I just meant that it didn't sound like a Lynne song to me, and I was right.  Check out this pic of Wood:

Yes, that was the bit about chasing the gremlins down that Rod quoted.

Yeah, he's kind of a weird dude.

For the sake of consistency, I checked AMG--Bev Bevan played drums in both bands as well.

Gawd, what I wouldn't give to be at the Little Feat with TOP concert at which this was recorded.  Stunning!

I missed this tour--decided to catch 'em next time, only there wasn't one. Oops.

And to join the two threads, there's a well-circulated Little Feat bootleg from Winterland circa '75 or so where they were opening for ELO. OK, kind of a stretch, but still...

I think we maybe even talked about this when the set originally aired.

Speaking of our mutual admiration of certain types of novels, I just finished Ysabel by Guy Gavriel Kay.  One hell of a fine book, which I highly recommend.  It's an urban fantasy, drenched in the history of Provence.  If you've never read Kay, this might be a good place to start.
