Is it "The Reverend Smith, he, he recognized me"
or "The Reverend Smithee, he recognized me"?

Just curious.

VHM to Agnew's cracking.

per Top 40 db, it's the former.

VHM "Brain Damage". Love the bluegrass version by the Austin Lounge Lizards.

I went with my girlfriend at the time to see them at Winterland (new restaurant of the same name open there now!) and they played DSOM, well before the album came out.  It was kind of raw sounding, not the smoothness we've come to know.  My girlfriend thought her presence was upsetting the band, so we had to leave before the second set!  I never forgave her for that!  1972

BOS to Dr. John, one of those songs I can't imagine ever tiring of.

BOS2 and best personal flashback" The Piano Man himself. Even if it gets a bit smug towards the end.

A heckle I used once at karaoke:

"When I wore a younger man's clothes"

("WHAT WAS HIS NAME???")
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”
