"LAWD! Ah am SOOOO tired! How long can this go AWN???"

VHM for Devo's "sonic blackface", as Gaz memorably called it.

Chrissie's good good good -- like Brigitte Bardot! Actually, considering Ms Bardot's right-wing leanings these days, Chrissie's considerably better. BOS2

Now THAT was a Cheeze Medley: "Endless Love", "Bette davis Eyes", "Jesse's Girl" and "celebration".

proxy of everyone: Little Feat, "Gringo". Not to be confused with "Gaucho".

Lowell's gone and the Feats dabble in yacht rock. Is Michael McDonald on this track?

ROTFL!  it surely does sound like it. This is actually new to me, I don't recall hearing it on the radio at the time.

Ginger gets kudos for the rarities we've heard, but the Toobs woulda fit nicely in Bob's AOR-fest earlier.

Me either. There was a Feats best-of/rarities compilation called Hoy-Hoy that came out in 81 and this was one of the unreleased tracks, iirc. Don't think it did much in the way of sales or airplay; more like Warners wringing the last drops out of the Little Feat vaults (until the band reconstituted itself 8 years later).

Ditto this aptly named Clapton tune.

ETA: Spoke too soon--guess it *was* part of Bob's set!

OK, Ginger one more track: time to pull this one out of the fire.

ETA: And so she does: Joy Division, Love Will Tear Us Apart.

Control, the Ian Curtis biopic, should be out on video any day now -- HIGHLY recommended.

And Ginger sez she's doing Earth Day tomorrow--wonder what she'll pull out? And will Dave do likewise?
