BOS11 "Rubber Duckie"! I'd rather bathe with (BOS12) Tom Jones, who covers Ben E King in style on "I Who Have Nothing".

"Don't Play that Song" -- our 2nd Ben E King cover, and easily one of my 2 or 3 fave Aretha records. Utterly fabulous from start to finish. uber-BOS13... and speaking of Ben E King, TO & Dawn's wonderful Drifters/Brill Building hommage "Candida" gets BOS14. This has been one of the best AT40s ever.

picking up where I left off: Casey tells a nice story about how the name "Conrad Byrdie" was a takeoff on Conway Twitty -- How did I never make that connection?

"You're Having My Baby" was often derided for being "pro-life" or "anti-choice". But that line "You didn't have to keep it/ Wouldn't put ya through it..." indicates the singer isn't forcing her to do anything and would've been more than willing to spring for an abortion, no?

I'm heading out to see Looper, but'll Ill stay long enuf to BOS8 "Earache My Eye". And bail before I have to hear "Sweet Home Ala-bummer".
