The set-closing Chris Bell is a breakout to my ears.  Is he from Big Star?

Nick Lowe    And So It Goes
Bruce Springsteen    Adam Raised A Cain
Steely Dan    FM
Motors (The)    Airport
Police    Roxanne
Kinks    Misfit
Blondie    One Way Or Another
Steve Forbert    Goin' Down to Laurel
Talking Heads    Take Me To The River
Chris Bell    I Am the Cosmos

That woulda been my BOS for sure -- one of the great power-pop singles of that era. A band that never got their due in the US
