In what should by now come as no surprise, I decided to post a few thoughts about tonight's speech:

I'm particularly interested in hearing what you think needs to be done in the future to keep another election from being, uh, how you say, diverted?
We have to cry foul when pundits, bloggers, and talking heads repeat known lies before they become memes. Our letters, our voices, in unison can shout down their lies.
We have to realistically acknowledge Obama's and the Democratic Party's flaws, and do what we can to correct them (such as the protests against Obama's FISA vote).
We have to cast careful eyes on the election process itself and fight misinformation from those who would disenfranchise.
And I'd suggest that those of us who have Election Day free should spend the day at a polling station, making sure that every vote is registered, every voice heard, no one intimidated from exercising her right to vote. (Personally I'd like to see some coastal folks man polling stations in, say, Ohio, to ensure no improprieties.)
