Def. more of a rarity than anything else we've heard save for the Pointer tune. And coincidentally it made its last appearance in the same set, 8/1/2006. I'm still gonna vote Bonnie for BOS today, but this is nice to hear, something I'd have never said in '79.

Turns out those were the only three songs that were duplicated between the two sets--and the only three for which I looked at the history. There was a Police song in that set, too, but a different one--Walking on the Moon. And it had a Cars song as well, so I guess we can feel lucky we dodged that bullett.

I just heard that song in a store the other day and it was stuck in my head the whole afternoon.

BTW, "Heaven" was indeed the Elgins.  The Velvelettes (great name) did "Needle in a Haystack" and, I believe, "He Was Really Saying Something."

And WOS to "Rock Music," utterly embarrassing.  But there are a couple good tracks to be found on Freedom at Point Zero, particularly the title track (typical Kantner) and "Fading Lady Light" (a Mickey ballad with no subtlety but a fine melody).  I still find it bizarre that "Girl With the Hungry Eyes" charted Hot 100.
