Happy Got Springsteen for Friday 10/26. Wanted lower but took what I got at 206 row 2. Waaaay back but almost center.

Bridge that weekend too. Better take Monday off work!

Sounds like you did better than my sister, who will be sitting behind the stage, and could only get two seats (so I'm not going).

Get three to Asbury Park...

Springsteen Benefit Rehearsal Shows Set
Sept. 20, 2007, 9:24 AM EST

The Associated Press

NEW YORK -- Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will give fans a preview of their upcoming tour when they perform two benefit rehearsal concerts in Asbury Park next week.

The shows will be held Monday and Tuesday nights at the Convention Hall. Tickets are $100. Beneficiaries of the concerts haven't been announced.

Springsteen's new album, "Magic," is due out Oct. 2, the same night his tour opens with a show in Hartford, Conn.

The 57-year-old rocker often rehearses at the Convention Hall before his albums are released and his tours begin.

I have 4 tix and my 4th person is known for flaking out so if you're up for a last minute thing, if she flakes, I'd be happy if you joined us. This is Broooce, not Bridge.

Oh, how I wish that I could, but I work both Monday and Tuesday nights.  But I'm excited to hear the rest of his new album.

That might work out.  Especially since I'm just ten minutes from the venue...

The Raspberries are coming to NYC next weekend.  I have a lot of love for them, but I don't know if I have $50 worth of love for them.  From their Myspace page (!), sounds like Eric C's still got the pipes, though:

Not that it would prevent me from going, but how many other original Raspberries are part of the band?

It's a new-ish place called the Highline Ballroom.  Very close to my old place in the Village (16th btwn 9th & 10th).  I've never been there.

Queensryche, Alice Cooper, Heaven & Hell, Sleep Train, Sept. 30th.

Not a big Queensryche guy, so can only say that they sounded good at what they do.  Loud and tight, they rocked the place.

Alice was awesome.  Great band, great showmanship.  Most of the playlist was early to mid seventies gold.  Alice wasn't in great voice, but he owned the stage anyway.  Final encore was 'Elected', and he's my candidate.  Absolutely worth the price of admission.

Heaven & Hell were fine, as long as I remembered to ignore Dio altogether.  Yikes, he was bad.  By a wig, man.  But the bass player was tremendous, the drumming was excellent, and Tommy Iommi is a guitar god.

Could this really be?  Is there any more info?  I would love to see a live show of the Phil Spector Christma Album.
Don't stand in the way of LOVE!
