SH6 has me stumped--Barry White? Teddy/Harold & the Bluenotes?

for shame -- Dave's played this several times, iirc.

Damn, you are correct. Twice in fact, once in 05 and once in late 06--and I have no recollection of either. I am indeed chastened.

(Although looking at the dates, I think I was on vacay in NY when the 05 occurrance came up.)
Let's get right to it.

OK, pop quiz.  "She's Gone" is eligible in both 74 and 76, and the Db has 96 sets from those 2 years.  How often has this song appeared?  (No peaking Urth!)

So I'm not sure of the chronology: H&O released it in '74, then Tavares had a minor hit with it, and that led H&O's to be re-released?

I really don't like Hall and Oates, but this song still holds up well.  It's funny though, since I love puns, but I don't think songs should be based on them.

I'm gonna guess 2x in '74 and 3x in '76.  Seems like Dave prefers "Abandoned Luncheonette" when he reaches for them in '74.

Atlantic re-released it in '76 after "Sara Smile" hit for RCA and they were suddenly hot.

The answer is zero!  The only time this song has appeared is in a single VT from last November, as the '76 entry.

And fwiw, "Abandoned Luncheonette" has been exclusively a '73 entry (5 times).

BOS5 Match Game: Watergate Edition!

It's amazing in these times that a president could be so roundly disparaged on such a bland stage as a TV game show. Can you imagine Pat Sajak or Simon Cowell capping on Bush like that now?

ooga-chukka!  VHM and Cheeziest of Set, Blue Swede.

ETA: worst mangled lyrics this side of the Love Affair cover of "Everlasting Love"

how "I'll just stay addicted/and hope I can endure" morphed into "I'll just stay a victim/If I can for sure" is beyond me.

OMFG! BOS n+1 Stevie!!!
