BOS3 Strange Advance.

Yep, this set sure sounds like 82/83 to me. Shock the Monkey would seal the deal.

Hope you had fun celebrating yr bday yesterday, Jim!

Guess this is Flash 'n the Pan?  Sounds very Hey-St.-Peter-esque.

another Morey fave: Flash & the Pan. Not even how'd'you do.

Sorry to wear crankypants at a birthday party; but this is pretty rote stuff. Is this what KFOG sounded like their first week?  Guess some R&B is out of the question, eh?  Or at least Kim Wilde.

I wasted my BOS on Strange Advance when I could have waited for The English Beat.  Oh well.

Yep, I did--thanks for asking. Spent the weekend beachcombing in west Marin, then paid a visit to Village Music yesterday afternoon. It was kind of a zoo, but they've marked everything down for the last month, and John was taking in cash hand over fist. They've got a bunch of old R&B posters and the like for pretty cheap--I picked up one featuring Tyrone Davis playing at Keshia's Inn in Oakland for about $10, and another with Little Jimmy Scott playing one of the fabled Village Music parties at the Sweetwater for $5. And all the vinyl is marked down too.
Let's get right to it.

BOS3 "Uniform". If he followed this with "I Love a man in a ..." I'd take back the crankypants.

Congrats, Dave and KFOG!  Glad to share an anniversary witchyoos!
