HM to Midnight Oil's "Blue Sky Mining," still vital.

ditto, also a good entry for my someday harmonica set.

stuck on a boring conf call.  listening very softly in the background.

I like it too, but other than (possibly) the FMac we haven't heard anything Dave hasn't played in past '90 sets. Not surprising, but disappointing nonetheless.

Aaaack! WOS "Unskinny Bop". The nadir of hair-metal, I don't care how many BOS votes it gets.

My (dis)pleasure--I have little tolerance for hair metal.
Let's get right to it.

no Dave that's NOT "a great record". Sheesh.

And didn't "ice Ice Baby" win BOS the last time Dave played it? So then why would he "lose his nerve" about playing it again? (not that I'm complaining, mind you).

as is oftent the case in sets after about 1986, Annalisa's bonus selections are all BOS material & the Foghead chose (imho) the best one:

"The Emperor's New Clothes"

WOS for Poison indeed. I'd vote it a HFH.

And I'd be right there with you.  (Though it's not quite the nadir of the genre -- that has to go to Warrant's "Cherry Pie," no?)

Yeah that one's right up there.  Ironically I LOVE Poison's first/best hit, "Talk Dirty to Me", one of the great cheese-rock singles of the '80s, which (of course)n Dave has never played in an '87 set.

But somebody here has BOS'd "Unskinny Bop" in the past -- the princess perhaps?
