Goddamn 'Niners --  losing when I bet they'd win.
Goddamn Raiders -- winning when I bet they'd lose.

Goddamn.

I'm going from first to worst this week!

When you're losing as badly as I am, you find your pleasures elsewhere. The Eagles have a player named Winston Justice -- so immediately this came to mind:

"They call him Winston Justice when he's past the legal limit"

(Hey, it's been a rough day...)
You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round

I went 8-5 and figured someone else would better that by at least a couple games, but that seems to be the number to beat, if I counted correctly. Geoff and I both got that, and Rod and Alicat are both one behind at 7-6, with the rest a game or two behind that. And we all picked the Pats tomorrow night, so we'll all either tally one more game or we won't. So Mike and I should be tied for the group lead at 39 or 40, and Mark in second by one. (Again, assuming I counted right.)
Let's get right to it.

Well, sounds good; I also figured I was way off, missing so many calls this weekend.  Was it actually a weekend for upsets?

Ummm, yes.

The betting line underdog won 9 out of 14 games outright.  And it's not like they were squeakers, either.  Of those 9 upsets, the Bills won by 3,  the Cardinals won by 7, and the other 7 teams won by at least 10 pts!

Time to jump on that Silver and Black bandwagon, Mike.

I've totally lost confidence (and interest pretty much) in the Niners but can't quite make the leap across the Bay.

URTHWERM HOU  TEN  KC  NYJ  NO  ARI  NE  PIT  WAS  IND  DEN  BAL  GB  DAL  37

Was just looking at the scoreboard for last weekend, and if you'd gone with the crowd favorites across the board, you'd have gotten exactly 4 games right.

And the best anyone in the entire pool did for the week was 11 out of 14--pretty good, but considering the number of people playing you'd think someone would have hit on 12 or 13 of 14 games. So yeah, last week was a weird week.
Let's get right to it.

ETA: changed SF to BAL after reconsidering Trent Dilfer (much as he'd love to stick it to his former team, I don't think it's gonna happen).

I know some guys who might take you up on that.  They hang out in the Black Hole.

But seriously, I understand anyone who has issues with the great and mighty Al.
