I love music from this era but Toni Basil gets a WOS from me. This belongs on Hits From Hell (it was on there once right?).
We all have our guilty pleasures in music, just like in food. I love this song, but will not argue its greatness either!
Robert Christgau insists "any way you wanna do it/I'll take it like a man" is a reference to, er, back-door sex. So whenever I hear it I get a visual of Ms Basil... well, never mind. Maybe she should hook up with Andy Kim.
"Saving the best for last", said Dave of this good but far-from transcendent rerun. For the record, the marathon went 70/Elvis/88/78/82.
And SF Guy is right, this is one of those songs that has appeared in both HFH and "regular" sets -- it may have been in "Guilty Pleasures" once too.
