To be fair, this is literally half the Katrina that Ace & Dwight are.  Barely worth inclusion in the category.

Wow, I'm surprised -- but I guess our perceptions are colored by hearing 4 10@10s a day -- Bob plays that one fairly regularly if I'm not mistaken.

Paging Gaz--they's playin' yo' song!

ETA: Which reminds me: I was in a used book store in my 'hood last night, and ran across a signed, first edition copy of Grace Slick's "Somebody To Love?" The kicker was the name it was signed to: To Paul.

Naaah, couldn't be.

(Btw, it was priced $50. I passed.)

Dude, buy it and I'll reimburse you.  Or tell me where to find it & I'll call and reserve it.

Seriously!

OK, I'll try to get in there and grab it. It's at Black Oak Books on Irving between 7th & 8th, if you happen to be in the neighborhood.
Let's get right to it.

I wasn't thinking it popped up as often as either the Ace or Twilley tunes, but I'd have said it was a more frequent flyer than being barely qualified. (Sometimes I think my perceptions may be skewed by the archive sets I listen to, tho.)
Let's get right to it.

Holy crap! Annalisa saves the day with Jeff Beck's "She's a Woman" -- ah, the peak period of the vocoder!

I wonder what other albums Annalisa had picked out?  Not that I'm complaining, just curious.

Probably would have specified Freeway Jam, but this is good.

Wow, good on Annalisa & good on the the lady Foghead - Jeff Beck's "She's A Woman".

Best Bonus of the Week...or even Month!

(Oh wait, the month is shorter than the week right now. Nevermind)

She mentioned Zep too, but the Fogheadette jumped on Beck as soon as Annalisa said the name.

to append Mike's note, Annalisa mentioned a couple of Physical Graffitti tracks, then "Freeway Jam" & "She's A Woman", then the lady foghead said Jeff Beck for sure...but it seems Annalisa chose between the two tracks mentioned.

yikes, another seeming 'trina, Dwight Twilley.

Nothing, I repeat, NOTHING, appears in my Db more frequently than this song.

Neither Fine Young Cannibals nor Robbie Neville nor Crowded House.

And Ace is now tied with the latter three.

speaking of which, my hair is now long enough to tie into a robbie nevil ponytail. wot's it to ya?

my 2nd bos would have gone to annalisa, but i ducked out early to go stand in line for some free indian dance concert. i never heard a sitar hurt so bad. my friends and i left to go eat pulpo (octopus) at a galician tapas bar.

Your avatar reminds me: I saw the trailer for the new Elizabeth sequel, with The Blanchett starring opposite Clive Owen as (curse) Sir Walter Raleigh (he was such a stupid git). Yummy!

Well, at least I got back from the 'Burgh well in time for the replay tonight.  But first: I'm off to Brooklyn Bridge Park for a free showing of Hair.  It'll be a Treat.

Gleamin', flaxen, waxen Gaz

PS: VVHM to "Why Can't We Be Friends," which never fails to make me smile.
