31 July 2007--it's 1974!!

Carl Kolchak directing the orchestra today!

And here we are, out in the Meadows...

...Waitin' around to fall...

ETA: Anyone else think Joe copped the riff from Deep Purple's Woman From To-Kay-Yo for this one?
Let's get right to it.

Love the arrangement of this Joni tune--easy pick for BOS1.

(Btw, I think the Joe W. tune may have been yet another bustout--it's not in the version of the Shraytabase I have here at work.)
Let's get right to it.

That's MY woman you're thinking of.  But it's funny that that riff's resurgence occurred to me too.  (Damn, that's a terrible sentence.)

I find that impossible to believe. Methinks we've heard it many times.

BOS "Heroes Are Hard to Find".

VHM for Wet Willie, Katrina though it certainly is.  Came across this in my Db the other day & hoped then to hear it next time '74 came around.  (contrariwise hoped NOT to hear Jim Stafford next time '74 came around)

Anything other than "Tangled Up" from BOTT would've been an automatic BOS from me.

True enough, although hearing it in a '74 set is rare, as Dave has played this in '75 all but once.

Indeed, it was released (according to every source I've consulted) in Jan '75, tho' radio was probably playing advance tracks in Dec.

BOS2 Todd -- surely the eventual winner today.

Agreed, but TUIB is considered the "anthem" on that album. Sure, I'd love to hear Idiot Wind or You're Gonna Miss Me When You Go, but Tangled is still a great song, just one that we hear more often than not.

BOS3 to Todd's A Dream Goes On Forever. The studio phones must be lighting up like mad about now...

BOS Isleys!

ETA: another song Dave has played in '75 before (though most often in '74)

Another BOS here--Chicago during their "Latinesque" phase, Call On Me.
Let's get right to it.
