Oh ho HO! it's BOS2 fer me.

BTW, I saw the new HP movie the other day, I've seen all 5, but I've only read the first book. So no more spoilers, guys.

After the 2nd movie I said "OK I've seen enuf", but then the 3rd one got raves, and indeed it was the best-directed of all (Alfonso Cuaron). So then i felt compelled to continue.

And that's three--and BOS3 while I'm at it. (The Spoonful tune, that is.)
Let's get right to it.

The last one (no. 4) was my fave so far--it was nicely dark & spooky. Will probably see the new one this weekend.

I found #4 the weakest, cinematically -- too long, and kind of "middle film"-ish (a la LOTR:TTT). I like the fact that for #5 they took the longest of the books and made the shortest of the films.

I guess Irish Greg ran out and bought Dave a copy of "A Kind of Magic."

... in honor of Harry Potter. Dave never ceases to amaze -- all the great ideas for theme sets that he's passed on over the years, yet he gets excited about something like this.

Greg tried to persuade him to play Queen's "It's a Kind of Magic", and Dave said "We don't have it, and it wasn't a hit in the US". So... if I won Request-O-Rama and asked for it, I'd be out of luck? Whaaa??

that's weird. and i can't believe it wasn't a hit in the us.

Irish Greg triumphs! Wonder if they had to go download it?

YAY! Greg prevails! BOS3 Queen!

(Dave told Greg he'd play the song if Greg went out and got a copy.)

is this tune #10?  I'll take ELO over the Cars any day.

Not sure--I lost count, as always. But I'm a little surprised we didn't hear the ONJ tune, too.

Me too.  I'd've preferred ONJ to the Steve Miller, actually.  Well, maybe the bonus?

Tell ya what, this'll make for a pretty good Saturday morning replay (I don't have softball till the afternoon, so I can actually catch most of it).
