ha! i JUST realised he's singing, "if her daddy's rich, take her out for a meal," not "if her daddy's rich, take her alfa romeo." that romeo/feel rhyme had been bugging me for an eternity.

when i was a kid i used to picture him showing up at her house, and her dad tossing him the keys to the car. i thought that was pretty strange.

why the summer set today? oh...memorial day weekend?
