oops -- department meeting (apparently a regular Monday 10:00 thang

I got to drive over to a 10:30 meeting myself, catch y'all later.

Oooh, BOS Bobby Z.  A song & album that Dave surprisingly visits only rarely.
"Music is the Earth, People are the Flowers, and I am the Hose."

w00t!  My favorite Bob song.  TUiB!

One of my faves too.  The lyrics still sound brilliant.

Followed quickly by BOS4--wrap your legs 'round these velvet rims, baby!

I'm gonna be wishing I could hear this set again tonight, but it's Night One of the post-Coachella Music Glut--Fountains of Wayne at the Music Hall. Tomorrow's off, then I have Travis Wednesday and the Old 97s on Thursday, both Fillmo' gigs.
Let's get right to it.

Actually this may be in my archive already--it's in the Shraytabase, it was a classic that aired on June 5, 02, and it's sounding more and more familiar all the time.

VHM to Sir Monti Rock for novelty's sake but can't pull the trigger on BOS for the Disco-Tex or the Sex-o-lettes.
Let's get right to it.

I actually think it's a dreadful record. Cultural significance, yes, but really badly made.  But I'll BOS ELO. "Poker? I hardly know'er!"

and now OMD, from the LP "Past Tense" (Gaz woulda been disappointed had I not said that for the umpteenth time).

And now track #10, and the final BOS of the morning--Tavares! If it only takes a minute, someone's not going to be very happy...

I love hearing the "bomp-bomp-bomp-bomp"s going back'n'forth from left to right in the headphones.

Nobody mentioned Journey-when-they-were-good!
