And Dave promises early Iggy. Does that mean Stooges?

Leading off with Hot Smoke and Sassafras. Seems like we heard this not too long ago.
Let's get right to it.

Umm, yes, by definition.  And here it is! BOS  "1969"

ETA: Maybe in the next 1970 set we can persuade Dave to play the Stooges' "1970".

Y'all know the Stooges are doing two nights at the Warfield next month, right? They got a new album out--Iggy and the Asheton brothers, with Mike Watt taking over the bass chair.
Let's get right to it.

Not able to listen, but sending out a plea in vain for Joe Jeffrey's "My Pledge of Love," a onetime Morey staple that I doubt I've heard in 3 years.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

No 'Love' so far, but right now we're hearing the Beatles (yay) You Never Give Me Your Money--hoping he lets this one spin for awhile--I'd at least like to hear Sun King.
Let's get right to it.

Savoy Brown, a Morey '69 staple, actually, at least in recent years.

I was just about to say that this was the rockin-est first half of a sixties set in memory, but here come the strings..."Someday We'll Be Together".

Let's get right to it.
