Another BOS for War.  Here's hoping they get a HOF induction one of these years.

If they had another hit besides "Cisco Kid", Mick LaSalle's not heard it.

Mick's never heard that one.  He's only heard "Low Rider".

A question:  What's the Mick LaSalle (Chronicle critic) reference?  Does he vote?

VHM JT on a country road, chile yeah.

is this one of those JT songs he recorded twice? 'cause this sounds kinda different.

This was the version I know best, but you may be right. He could have done it on his Apple debut, then rerecorded it for Sweet Baby James or something.

And wtf is AMG so slow to load?

ETA: Nope, per AMG it's only on SBJ, at least as a new release. The rest are comps.
Let's get right to it.

True, but I think a lot of the rest of the set (King Floyd, Grass Roots, Chicago, War) were all like 3:30, so we end up with a pretty fast set.

And a pretty darn fine one it was. I'm slightly bumming that I'm out tonight for the Ian Hunter thing at the Fillmore. I guess between this one and the Soul Patrol on Monday, I won't be sleeping in much on Saturday.
Let's get right to it.

...and I'm gonna SUCK ya!!!

I just ordered a fairly comprehensive TRex best-of (there are many that omit certain songs, but this one seems to have everything).

Crap--missed it. A poorly timed impromptu meeting. Oh well.

Which one? I've got Electric Warrior and The Slider, but I know there are a bunch of songs that aren't on either.

it's just called "the Very Best of T Rex", appears to be an import. It has every British chart single except (TANC) "Jeepster".
