And it's a Tarantino twin-spin, Stuck in he Middle... into Misirlou, interposed by some nifty banter between Messrs. Travolta and Jackson.

"Sewer rat might taste like punkin pie but I'd never know, 'cause I ain't eatin' the motherf***er."

Or something like that. Great line.
Let's get right to it.

Great, I'll buy ya a Vernor's and a box of Jujubes.

So have any of the films featured so far been older than Harold and Maude, which was what, around 1974 or so? Guess that's the demographic, but c'mon--let's dig back a bit further.
Let's get right to it.

this Star Wars theme would mean more if Dave hadn't played it about a month ago in a '77 set.  Carrie, get those danishes off your head!

Not my top pick either.

For comparison's sake, here's last year's "...Goes to the Movies" set--two repeats so far.

3/6/06 - Monday! 10@10 Goes to the Movies!

5, 6, 7, 8's- Woo-Hoo Song (Kill Bill)
Bruce Springsteen - Streets of Philadelphia (Philadelphia)
John Williams - Star Wars Medley
Dick Dale - Miserlou (Pulp Fiction)
Wang Chug - To Live & Die in L.A.
Jon & Vangelis - Friends of Mr. Cairo
Shins - New Slang (Garden State)
Shirley Bassey - Goldfinger (voted best Bond song)
David Bowie/Pat Metheny - This is Not America (The Falcon & the Snowman) (B-O-S!!)
Kinks - Celluloid Heroie
BONUS TRACK: George Baker Selection - Little Green Bag (Reservoir Dogs)
Let's get right to it.

From our whatthehellhappened to his career file: Wes Bentley, so wonderful in American Beauty. And now he's the bad guy in Ghost Rider. Sheesh.

I think I'm gonna BOS the Annie Lennox tune.

Ah, make that a tie with the Kinks--another classic (and a repeat from last year).

Not to my knowledge.  But a set of songs *about* movies would've been cool too:

"35mm Dreams" Garland Jeffreys
"Everyone's Gone to the Movies" the Dan
"Citizen Kane" the Byrds

the "movie set" was a staple of free-form FM rock radio back in the day.

I didn't listen to the show today because I forgot but I read the set list and I have to say I agree 1000%. This one should be a candidate for Hits from Hell if there is one on April 13th.
