I love that organ at the beginning of Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker).  Did I mention that my brother has an organ like that?

Was she even born in '73? Guessing not--I don't think she's even hit 30 yet.
Let's get right to it.

To answer Davefish: it wasn't a hit single but it got lots of progressive-FM play back then. This is Brian Auger's Oblivion Express; prior to that he had Brian Auger & the Trinity, who (with vocalist Julie Driscoll) were most famous for covers of "This Wheel's on Fire" and "Season of the Witch".

Auger and Driscoll also co-starred in "33 1/3 Revolutions Per Monkee," which I'll happily bring with me if anyone wants to watch weirdly written and poorly directed/edited psych marginalia.

PS: Jessica Simpson was born in 1980, I think.  Shudder.

Maybe it will show up on PAX, er, I mean "i", now that they're showing Monkees reruns.  I've never seen Head, either.
