hey - you travellers - is it better to fly into jfk or la guardia? i never remember. i know i can take the city bus from queens into manhattan. how do i get in from lga?

You don't?  The narative is told in the PoV of a sniper (a la Charles Whitman on the University of Texas clock tower).

LGA's a lot smaller and thus a lot easier to deal with.  It's a nuisance to get from either to Manhattan if you're taking public transportation -- http://www.mta.nyc.ny.us/nyct/maps/submap.htm has the deets.

LaGuardia is closer if you're gonna take cab or bus; JFK has The Train to the Plane (I think) and that goes into Manhattan. I used LaG in Nov.

LGA is closer to Manhattan than JFK, but every time I'm going to NYC, it seems like the cheaper flights at the more convenient times are into and out of JFK. JFK is about a $45 cab fare to Manhattan (I think it's a flat rate deal.) Or Supershuttle is about $20. Busses/trains are even less.
