Jim Capaldi, right?  I recently heard that he'd died not too long ago (Jan 28, 2005), but I didn't hear at the time.

Hey Dave, stick a silver dollar in the slot, your next post is going to come up triple sevens.

can't help noticing how much the henley tune stands out in this set. brings some color to the grey of the rest of the music (even if it is a nice shade of pale). seemed he jumped onto the mid-80's sound before anyone else. well, henley and duran duran. but moreso henley.

If you think this set is shades of gray, then what it needs is some Blancmange!

Hmm, Dolby didn't even get a mention.  That's a first!

quick, everybody -- look busy! Gaz is lurking.

Gaz was watching a replay of the debate Tim Russert moderated between FLers Bill Nelson and Katherine Harris.  I hope it doesn't diminish my feminist credentials to say that I would take great pleasure from punching Harris repeatedly in the face.

I'm witcha on that.

Jon Stewart was talking about the black Republican running for governor of Ohio -- another former Sec'y of State who fiddled with election returns -- and called him "a former secretary of state who's actually more do-able than Katherine Harris". The audience went wild. And Stewart says, "so... you hate him ... but you'd (bleep) him???"

BOS2 Ted Kennedy -- what a GREAT f--ing speech!

Anything with Ted Kennedy would get a WOS from me. I HATE the man. Unlike the rest of you (everyone I guess), I'm a moderate Repubican.

A vote for the Motels here, too.  Liked it then, it's okay now.  Not WOS material, anyway.
