Hey gang, anyone interested in gathering at my place again on the weekend of the 19th?  Saturday or Sunday, afternoon or evening, I've got the house to myself then so whatever works for y'all.

Forgot to say that I was figuring on it being a BBQ.

Woo Hoo!  Saturday would be my suggestion but either day works for me -- whatever's good for the most folks.  I've already got my stack of musical goodies at the ready.

I'll have to phone it in -- or, if it's Saturday, email it in.

I'll be on vacation as well, where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain.

I'll be home sometime Sunday, I'll have to check on the time -- I think it's pretty early.

It's a bad weekend for me as well--Saturday is def. a no-go, and Sunday is out until late afternoon at the earliest.
Let's get right to it.

Gazoo's December Visit
« Reply #218 on: November 28, 2006, 08:58:20 AM »
REVIVED because it's under 3 weeks till my SF vacation.  I'll be in town 12/18-12/28.  Would love to do a group dinner with karaoke afterward but am open to any and all ideas.  Including a field trip to Amoeba.  Also hoping to invite Dave, as I don't think he's made a Club gathering in a few years.  Let me know your availabilities.  And let me know if you have any NYC requests for me to fulfill (any Mallomar lovers out there?).  Thanks!

"also hoping to invite Dave..."

as in Morey? Dave's never been to any of our gatherings -- he took us all to dinner once in the Yahoo days but he hasn't socialized with us other than that. Don't hold yer breath on that one.

Not a Mallomar lover, but if there's room in your luggage for a box of Yankee Doodles, I'd be most grateful.

I'll be around all days, just not free on the 21st, Sharks game. Hoping to take the week off after Xmas but haven't asked yet.

aside to Mike, re Sharks:
Last Wednesday, at the spectacular goal-fest Sharks game, they let ME ME ME down ON THE ICE to play one of the silly games in between the 2nd and 3rd periods. I was one of 6 people. Three drove little tractors and three (me) were cheering on "our" drivers. My tractor did not win but I got a t-shirt and was able to walk through the guts of HP and by the locker room (I was thrilled). The fun just never ends!

OMG that is so cool!  No "candid" locker room shots, eh?

I remember when hockey players were ugly and bruised and toothless but I must say this year's Sharks are quite hot.

I'll show up when/wherever.  You are welcome to crash at my place for any of your nights, there's a really good Chinese place in San Leandro we can take you to, especially if you like spicy food.

Are you also planning to see any of our Schwab friends?  If so please include me if at all possible.

I'm definitely intending to, though I am waiting to let everyone know of my visit until the Voice situation is finalized -- I'd rather share all news at once.  Thank you for the crashing offer; I am already taking up the legendary Niel Armstrong up on an offer to stay at his place but I'd love to come visit for a night!  (Not so good with the spicy, though -- you don't remember my chopping-peppers incident at a dinner at your place some years ago?   :o  )

I truly admire your ability to wiggle yourself into the middle of the action.  Excellent work!
