jeez, when I called Dave to vote for this song, I could hardly hear him, the music was cranked so loud!  Also, best Bass of set, I believe this is Tony Levin.

i thought we were meeting on april fool's day at reg's?

is that a done deal?  If so we can do another thing at my place later in the season.

I HATE MY JOOOOOBBBBBBBB!

(whew). OK. Where were we?

Rod: Don't worry about being late. I'm glad you were there and I'm glad you had fun!

So, we're trying to set up a Mshray B-day party for March 6th? I have a sinking feeling I'm going to have a rehearsal at some point on that day- but it won't be all day....

It probably shouldn't matter cuz of my sterling attendance record (0 for lifetime) but I'm outta town that weekend.  Actually I'll be in NYC, and hopefully meeting up with Mr. McCombs at some point in the week. Crossing fingers.
Let's get right to it.

I think I'm misremembering "El Shaddai," but isn't it more or less the same melody as the Beatles' "I Me Mine"?

no, not really. the first few chords are similar, but that's about it.

I'm thinking that this date is coming up too soon to get good attendance.  I really want to find a time that we can guarantee the attendance of
A) Mr & Mrs. Urth
B) both Alicat's & DaveMack's kids (who match up precisely) & spouses
C) the future Mrs. Lightnin' Rod
D) everybody else who attends faithfully & usually need no encouragement.  (give yourselves a pat on the back)

Okay Mr Hoffman, you just sealed your fate.  You pick a date that you & your better half can make it out to CV & I'll plan accordingly.  Feel free to make it far out on the calendar, we needn't be bound by my b-day.  Just sometime between now & the 4th of July (non-inclusive, that's one of our camping weekends).

Indeed, the April Fool bring-your-fave-comedy-records thing was intended to celebrate poc's natividad.  But since that's a no-room-for-kids situation, we can do that AND BBQ on a date of Urth's choosing.
