even though this was a 77 hit out here, I voted for Sultans of Swing.

You musta been the decisive 3rd vote to put them in the early lead.

Another BOS to Joe Walsh.

When I saw the Eagles in concert in Nov '79 they did this, but when he got to the line about "they write me letters, tell me I'm great", he changed it to "they write Tim letters, tell Glenn Don's great".

I love it when that happens! I saw Zevon in 1980 and when he did "Werewolves" he sang

Little old lady got mutilated late last nite...
Brian DePalma again"

(this was right after Dressed to Kill came out.)
You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round

When I saw Zevon circa '91 he changed the following line:

Better stay away from him!
He'll rip your lungs out, Jim!
Ha! I'd like to meet Liz Taylor

Check this out, I went to vote for Boston, and it seems I was the 14th person to vote.

Vote now for your Best In Show featuring 1978!

Jefferson Starship - Count on Me   7.1%
Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing   21.4%
Warren Zevon - Excitable Boy   7.1%
Genesis - Follow You Follow Me   14.3%
Billy Joel - Stiletto   7.1%
Boston - Feeling Satisfied   14.3%
Eric Clapton - Tulsa Time   7.1%
The Rolling Stones - Respectable   7.1%
Dan Fogelberg - Power of Gold   7.1%
Joe Walsh - Life's Been Good   7.1%

I'm impressed by the improbable odds that among the first 13 voters, all 10 tracks got at least one vote.
