Noriega actually declared war?  That's funny, as I was just watching The Mouse That Roared on TCM the other day.

Ah, TFF, "STSOL". Lovely. But this one Dave really HAS played before.

BOS2 (and best segue of set): Sowing the Seeds of Love, with the Noriega clip leading into it. A shameless homage to George Martin's Beatles production style, but a fab tune nonetheless.
Let's get right to it.

When this came out, I was asked if I thought it was a #1 single. I said "a big hit but not a #1". And it peaked at #2.

Pete Rose, Zsa Zsa, Ollie North and Jim Bakker. Now THAT'S 1989.

VHM this Henley, not a usual suspect.

Another clever segue followed by another likely bustout, although neither as good as the first ones: the scandal clips into Henley's If Dirt Were Dollars.
Let's get right to it.

I'm changing my VHM to a BOS, I'd forgotten how good the lyrics are on this one.

All right Mark, what's the Katrina status of The Call's "Let the Day Begin"?  I don't like this song, and we have to hear it all the time.

And yet another bustout, I'd bet on it: The Dead's Just A Little Light, one of Brent's few contributions to the band's repertoire and probably his best. Sadly, he couldn't find much light for himself--two years later he was dead of an OD.

ETA: Make that one year later--I was thinking this was an 88 set for some reason.
Let's get right to it.

Me too.  Missed both of this set & Ginger due to phone calls, but they're all to the good as I suddenly have a very hot lead on a new job.
