OMGWTFLOL! Lou Christie, "I'm Gonna Make You Mine". So grab that pick & shovel.  Is this a Morey breakout?

"mr. skin" sounds slightly familiar, but i´m lost on the other two.

"Mr. Skin" is definitely the best aside from "I Got a Line on You".  My band used to cover "Line".  I acutally have a recording of it including a rather unfortunate vocal performance by me.

digitized, dave?

OK, this one is a stumper but it has Buddah written all over it: I'm Gonna Make You Mine? Mike, please give us the 411.

It's "Lou Christie", ain't it?

spirit sounding good! did they have any other hits?

This is where the charts break down in my book.  San Francisco radio air play is what's important to me, but can be quite different from Billboard, and not measureable.  Spirit's "Nature's Way" is a classic too.  In 1976, FM played their version of "Like a Rolling Stone" but I haven't heard it since.

For some reason neither "Nature's Way" nor "Fresh Garbage" show up in any of my Top 40 searches, though

Yup.  It's a CD anyway -- don't know if I've ripped it.  Wanna hear it?

I don't think he was on Buddha, but I don't have Whitburn handy. It was a big comeback for him at the time.  iirc, he was Lesley Gore's "beard" for a while.

within the parameters of my Db it is.  Dave has heretofore only played Lou's whose last initials are R.

Annalisa says beads are something"only hippies wore".

Well, hippies and drag queens.
