Tuned in just in time for the Carpet Crawlers, although I'd have loved to have heard the Gram & Emmylou tune--Love Hurts? The Waits tune made up for it nicely tho.

And here's another Gaz-fave: Ahhh bowakawa pousay pousay....
Let's get right to it.

thanks for the ID on Waits -- didn't seem gravelly enuf to be him. But then he was a lot younger in '74.

Temporary layoffs! Good Times! Easy credit rip-offs! Good Times!

and a VHM to "Eyes of Silver", the Doobs shameless soundalike attempt at another hit that didn't really do very well chartwise.

and the trivia answer is: Madison Sq Garden, as a surprise guest with Elton.  It was Thanksgiving night, iirc.

You got it pops!

Listening & enjoying, but also frantically working on a document for an 11:00 meeting, which I have to finish before my 10:00 meeting.  Have fun with Dave, I'll check back later if I can.

Spent yesterday day-tripping up in Mendocino county, & had dinner in Ukiah about 6:30.  Leon Russell was apparently playing a free concert at some park in town at the same time, but I couldn't convince the wife & kids that we should drop everything and head over.
