Hey Mike & anyone else who ever listens to the Underground Garage, check out this interview of Little Steven.  It's really very good.

Yep, it sure is--thanks for passing that on. Nice to know that there are guys out there like Little Steven, still keeping the faith. Kind of a bummer to hear him say he doesn't know if he'll make any more records, but I suspect that's something that could change at any given moment, as soon as he has something to write about.
Let's get right to it.

and wouldn't "Sun City" be the highlight of any 1985 set? I'd expect it from Rob (it got heavy airplay in NYC, as I recall) or Ginger sooner or later.

Short Circuit, wunnit?

You don't really see many soundtrack hits these days.  Weird.  Just the occasional Diane Warren respectulation.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

Sometimes my local iTunes seems to just sense my vibe and really plays to it. Today it's beeh hitting on all cylinders since I fired it up about an hour ago:

David Bowie-Star (why doesn't DM EVER play this?)
Model Rockets-Smile
Green Day-Jesus of Suburbia medley
Marah-Barstool Boys
Beatles-For No One
Aztec Camera-Pillar to Post
Pernice Brothers-Red Desert
The Who-I Can't Explain
The Third Bardo-I'm Five Years Ahead of My Time (from the Nuggets box)
The Clash-Julie's Been Working for the Drug Squad
The Clash-Spanish Bombs
Kasabian-Processed Beats

Love it when I get a random two-fer of one band or another, particularly off two separate albums.

And the hits just keep on coming--just kicked into Golden Smog's V--the best song on the record and a superbly crafted power pop tune.
Let's get right to it.

so of course the "now playing" feature isn't working, so I've no idea who just did a fine cover of the Stones' "Under My Thumb" on VIP.
