could you guys hear the difference in sonic quality when Dave went from the CKLW bit, which included the opening notes of Martha & The V's, into his own copy of the song(an otherwise seamless transition, I might add)?  It was real clear on my headset.

How close is this in terms of "What's Going On?"  This was definitely progressive at the time.

"What's Goin On": early '71

Late '68 is when Motown "discovered" social realism -- Temps did "Cloud Nine" and "Runaway Child" then too.
