OK, who can ID this Balloonman song? It sort of sounds like Robyn Hitchcock but it CAN'T be.

ETA: Oh. My. Freaking. God. It was Robyn. Now THERE'S a bustout.
Let's get right to it.

Was that Church tune a bust-out? I don't recall hearing it before, but somehow I think maybe you were hoping for better.

It may have been a bust out last time, but we did hear it once before.

Oh yes it can.

Got quite a bit of alt-radio play in  NY at the time, and the story was that he wrote it for the Bangles but they said, "sorry, we're writing our own stuff now". So he did it himself.

So I found the 1988 set that previously gave us that Church tune, in fact it was the TOTHC.  This set is from Thursday 5/20/2004.  No wonder I was hoping for some Erasure towards the end.

1. Church - North, South, East and West
2. Escape Club - Wild Wild West
3. Thomas Dolby - the Ability to Swing
4. Neil Young - This Note's For You
5. Crowded House - Better Be Home Soon
6. Little Feat - Let it Roll
7. Bob Dylan - Silvio
8. John Hiatt - Slow Turning
9. Erasure - Chains of Love (BEST OF SET!!)
10. George Harrison - Got My Mind Set on You

I'm working in my spare time on compiling the 10@10 database using Darryl's website.  If anyone wants to do something similar you don't need to know how to write complicated nested formulas in Excel (so that you could, f'rinstance, paste this list into 10 vertical cells and have it broken out into columns for Tune #, Artist & Song).  I can give them to you so all you need to do is copy the formula & fill down.
