See if this is better than Bob's 1977 set, which was pretty good.

Doubtful, though.

A pretty decent Keith solo tune to lead off though, from that record he did with the guys from G'n'R and Steve Jordan, yes?

ETA: Nope, not G'n'R--the X-Pensive Winos, same as his earlier solo record. Steve Jordan, Charley Drayton, Ivan Neville, and a cast of dozens.
Let's get right to it.

Is Dave gonna start every set this week with a Stones (or derivitive thereof) track?

No expectations... though if Dave gives us a worthy breakout or 2, I'll give him props. En Vogue, Madonna or Vanessa Williams would be swell --and "Achy Breaky Heart" is just off-the-wall enuf to be a Morey guilty pleasure. But maybe we'll continue the string of Prince first-timers with "Diamonds & Pearls".

After two WOSs in a row, I'm almost ready to go to my own collection.  My CDs of the Jefferson Starship show I attended in August finally arrived yesterday (the show was so long, they send two discs) and I can't wait to hear them.

Segueing from "retaliation" into "Remedy" strikes me as very uncomfortable, considering the present Muslim riots over the cartoons . . .

And here's the pseudo-Stones, aka the Black Crowes. Although I gotta say, this Remedy is a pretty rockin' little ditty. Give it an HM for now, in the hope that DM pulls out something better.
Let's get right to it.

What was the second track that you hated it so much?  I thought the Keith was okay, and certainly unexpected, which, with my lowered expectations for a 90's set, qualifies it as a VHM.

Black Crowes sounding okay this a.m. as well.

And Dave can go up to Seattle for a couple of tracks from this year if he wants to.  Some Temple of the Dog would be novel.

"I Love You, KatrinaBye", Dolby -- the usual BOS winner whenever it appears (which is VERY often).

BOS to "I Love You Goodbye."  I'm hearing the song with different ears today.

Me too, but I doubt you're gonna say the same about Tom Cochrane.

But let's all eschew saying 'Life Is A Katrina' shall we?  That's a katrina by itself.

Tom Cochatrina is a highway, but I don't wanna ride him all night long!
