Cheeze alert! Journey when they were, well, you know.

This has been the classic "past their prime" set--Genesis, Journey, J. Geils, all after they'd gone commercial.
Let's get right to it.

BOS II, J. Geils, out of loyalty if nothing else.  At least it aint 'Centerfold.'

Wit'cha. Still, can't exactly blame Seth Justman for bailing after having to play this night after night.

Was it Seth who bailed, or Peter?  'Cause the whole album has Justman's fingerprints all over it.  I always beleived it was Wolfe who couldn't take the new direction...

It was Peter Wolf who bailed.  Seth stuck around long enough to sing lead on their final charter, "Concealed Weapons," which I haven't heard since seeing them do it on "on "Solid Gold" or somesuch c. 1983.

1/12/06 - Thursday!  Fun in...1981!!

Cars - Victim of Love
Police - Demolition Man
Rick James - Super Freak
Jam - Monday
Hall & Oates - You Make My Dreams
Go Go's - Our Lips Are Sealed
Steely Dan - Gaucho (BEST OF SET!!)
Genesis - Keep it Dark
J. Geils - Freeze Frame
Journey - Don't Stop Beliving
BONUS TRACK:  Kraftwerk - Computer Love

Catching the replay, but I don't intend to listen to the last 3 songs.

But can we start a petition to get the replay to include the bonus track?  I want my Kraftwerk today.

Okay, I stayed for the full helping of Cheese.  I didn't mind that Genesis track too much, it's far from a katrina & I used to have that album.

And "Freeze Frame" &  "Don't Stop Believing" just take me back to so many dorm dances in my freshman & sophmore years of college.
