The people have spoken!! It's an HFH Vertical Tasting, '75 to '84.

Dave on why he was anti-HFH this time: "I just decided 10 bad songs in a row is bad radio". To which Greg replied: "You just figured that out now, after doing HFH for 20 years??" LOL!

So if he's starting in '75, then no "The Streak."  But "Disco Duck" in '76 is a distinct possibility.

And we wrap things up just before "Tarzan Boy" would've been eligible.

Tarzan Boy's no HFH -- it's pop brilliance!

Rockin’ through the night.
Yeah, we got a little convoy,
Ain’t she a beautiful sight?
Come on and join our convoy
Ain’t nothin’ gonna get in our way.
We gonna roll this truckin’ convoy
’cross the u-s-a.
Convoy!

Cool, we can have a sing-a-long.  And to that purpose, I enclose the following for when we get there (and we almost certainly will):

Mr. Roboto

Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto,
Mata ah-oo hima de
Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto,
Himitsu wo shiri tai

You're wondering who I am-machine or mannequin
With parts made in Japan, I am the modren man

I've got a secret I've been hiding under my skin
My heart is human, my blood is boiling, my brain I.B.M.
So if you see me acting strangely, don't be surprised
I'm just a man who needed someone, and somewhere to hide
To keep me alive-just keep me alive
Somewhere to hide to keep me alive

I'm not a robot without emotions-I'm not what you see
I've come to help you with your problems, so we can be free
I'm not a hero, I'm not a saviour, forget what you know
I'm just a man whose circumstances went beyond his control
Beyond my control-we all need control
I need control-we all need control

I am the modren man, who hides behind a mask
So no one else can see my true identity

Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto, domo...domo
Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto, domo...domo
Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto, domo...domo
Thank you very much, Mr. Roboto
For doing the jobs that nobody wants to
And thank you very much, Mr. Roboto
For helping me escape just when I needed to
Thank you-thank you, thank you
I want to thank you, please, thank you

The problem's plain to see: too much technology
Machines to save our lives. Machines dehumanize.

The time has come aat last
To throw away this mask
So everyone caan see
My true identity...
I'm Kilroy! Kilroy! Kilroy! Kilroy!
and any fool knows
a dog needs a home
a shelter
from pigs on the wing

Note that our last HFH Vertical Tasting was also '75 thru '84:

75 - Thank God I'm a Country Boy
76 - Shannon
77 - How Much Love (Leo Sayer)
78 - Let's All Chant
79 - In the Navy
80 - Lost in Love
81 - Morning Train
82 - Ebony & Ivory
83 - Mr. Roboto
84 - Footloose

I'm betting we hear almost all of those, if not all, given Dave's lack of enthusiasm.
You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round

ooo! it's date-specific!  Which rules out reruns from last time, at least.

OK... not Karen's finest hour...

From the intro, it sounds like Dave's HFH aversion might be from having to debate Fogheads ad nauseam on whether a particular song is a HFH or a guilty pleasure.

Carpenters' Please Mr. Postman--def. HFH.
Let's get right to it.

this is a schizzy song.  Admittedly an HFH for most of the song, but a killer guitar solo at end
Don't stand in the way of LOVE!
