VHM to TP -- hope I got that in before you all trash him.

Wait.... whose trashing Petty?!

Petty had a few less apetizing moments, but this was one of his HOF moments.

Speaking of which, I am booking a biz trip to Cleveland for next Tues/Wed.  Anyone wanna meet me for a R'n'R HOF & LeBron James T-shirt night twinbill?  All you really need is you plane tix, I can cover all the expenses.

HM to whoever's sounding like a female Gin Blossoms ("Sleeping in My Car"?).  Never heard this before, but I'm digging the harmonies.

Googled that & unless it was Roxette, the lyric was not "sleeping in my car".

HOLY SH!!!!!!T, that really WAS Roxette????

Y'know... if it were baseball season and it was an Indians game... I'd seriously consider it.

And you guys are too mean to poor Ms. Crow.  All she wants to do is have some fun.

Plus, I think she's kinda cute.

She did some songs I like, most especially that one and "A Change Would Do You Good."  But I don't think she holds notes well without another vocalist or instrument to keep her steady (I find "Strong Enough" difficult to listen to) and I think she's been coasting these last few years.  "Good Is Good"?!

She did an absolute stunner on one of the post-9/11 concerts, and I wish I could remember its title.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

Here's my BOS: NRBQ-A Little Bit of Bad. Big Al Anderson's swan song with the band--by the time this hit the charts, he'd left the band and was writing hits for Carlene Carter in Nashville.

That's a twist of which I was unaware.  Did Carlene ever get her sh!t sorted out?  (To tie this all together, she's the one who was with Tom Petty's junkie bassist, right?)

No idea what Carlene's state is at the moment--she sort of dropped out of sight after said junkie bassist (Howie Epstein, for those of you keeping score at home) bought the farm. One assumes someone did an intervention and got her into rehab, but god knows if it stuck or not--as those things tend to go.

But boy, did she and Epstein look bad when all that came down--heroin is nasty stuff, no question.
Let's get right to it.

Jealous, Mike?

I got a feeling, she's not the only one...

OK, HUGE TMI alert, but after an adolescent bout with Mumps, yours truly qualifies.  Didn't stop me from siring two sons, but it's still true. Anyone got her number?

Here's your Nirvana, from '94's unplugged album.  With Meat Puppets covering Bowie.

Have I ever told the story of One Ball John?  A friend of my brother's who we used to bowl league with.  After his bout with testicular cancer, every time he rolled a strike we'd take up the chant "One ball John!  One ball John!"

Alchohol made it much funnier.
