High Fidelity overload, although it's not Cusack bemoaning, it's Jack Black this time ---> The Dandy Warhols "Bohemian Like You"

Best segue of the set.
Let's get right to it.

Tom Brokaw declares Al Gore wins, Dan Rather says otherwise ---> 3 Doors Down "Kryptonite"

ETA: TuneGenie acknowledges "Kryptonite".

More High Fidelity ---> The White Stripes "Hello Operator"

ETA: Kudos to AL for not playing any Foo Fighters or "Babylon".  And The White Stripes don't show up on TuneGenie.

ETA2: Wow, this set was relatively short -- ended around 10:37 -- making up for the really long 1985 set on Tuesday?

High Fidelity ---> Coldplay "Yellow"

I can hear Mike's "UBER-LN"....

yeah, this and the U2 are the obvious KFOG rotation fodder here. And the Dandy Warhols tune is AL's go-to Katrina for Y2K sets.

But the rest, tho' not terribly appealing to me, was at least rarity/bustout territory.

Agreed, even though I can't say I got a warm fuzzy from hearing this set, she definitely opted for a number of lesser heard tunes -- and two bustouts is significant. Broadcast gets my BOS, and I freely admit to not having heard it before today. White Stripes get VHM.
Let's get right to it.

And can I just say that I have officially reached saturation for that Samuel Adams Summer Ale ad that's been in heavy rotation on the stream. (We heard it twice during the break between today's set and the first song that followed it.) The voice of the guy who's reading the scripted parts of the ad ("I love the summer ales!") has become like sandpaper to my ears.
Let's get right to it.

---> The Dandy Warhols "Bohemian Like You"

So here's that song
Yeah, I know it's overplayed
But it's got a catchy beat
that's getting stuck inside my head
I really like
that singer, yeah
He sings it really fast
But it still sounds pretty cool, you betcha

So here's that part
Where they just play lots of toms
Well I like the sound of drums
Don't you really love them too?
But if you dig on the guitar
The refrain is coming soon
It has a good hook
A lot better than Coldplay's

'Cause I like it
Yeah I like it
And I'm feeling so lyrical like you
Yeah I like it
Yeah I like it
And I feel so whoa ho woo!
Ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh
"Your favorite songs, played beautifully"
