I was in the audience for the early-evening dress rehearsal of SNL the night he did Dueling Cockers with Belushi (they sang "Feelin' Alright" together). My Joe Cocker memory.

Geoff, did you by chance see any of the ARMS benefit shows at the Cow Palace in '83? I had to look it up to be sure, but that was the only place I ever saw him. (I went to the first two of the three shows.)

I did go to the show, but I don't remember Joe Cocker.  I vividly remember the Stairway, and will bore anyone who volunteers to hear my story.  I basically just remember it being a Clapton, Beck, and Page show.

When I was either 8 or 9 my folks took my younger brothers & me to see a double feature of "Yellow Submarine" w/"Mad Dogs & Englishmen" at some theater in lawn guy land.

My folks were clearly the oldest ones in attendance (early 30's each), and my brothers & I clearly the youngest.

Pretty sure we all got contact highs without being aware!
