The Elton John Band, Philadelphia Freedom after a rather abrupt transition from Rufus. Is this more of a '76 number?

OMFG: uber-BOS3 "Life is a Minestrone", a onetime request of mine, making only it's 2nd or 3rd appearance ever, methinks.

nope, early '75 -- right after "Lucy in the Sky" peaked, he released this one.

You might say it's godly, or the cream of the crop.

Maybe it's the Bicentennial vibe.

Mercury Cougar commercial --> "Thunder Road" -- our hunch was somewhat correct.  BOS4.

Ringo Starr, The No-No Song

Anyone else remember a TV special where Ringo played himself and another character named Ognir Rrats?

so: '86 or '83 tomorrow?

And I would've welcomed a first-day-of-autumn set, which I don't think has ever been done on any 10@10. Many summer sets, of course, and once AL did a first-of-winter one that was awesome.

Considering we heard the Two. Most. OBVIOUS. Brooooce tunes from BTR, plus a couple of other LNs... I can only give this set a middling grade.  The 10cc came closest to saving the day IMHO.

Dylan's Simple Twist of Fate is technically a bust-out, as it has only appeared once in 2007 as
a Bonus Track.

that's kind of astounding, but I've learned not to be surprised by anything anymore.
