Hey, just curious and since the set is nothing special I figured it was a good time to ask:

What's your preferred method of tendering your BOS votes w/DM--phone, e-mail or IM?

I've been using IM, just because it's fairly surreptitious as far as my coworkers are concerned, and I get a little more of a response from Dave than I used to with e-mail, even if it is just "okiedokie!"

(I'm assuming he doesn't lurk & tally what we post here.)
Let's get right to it.

I always use email, though I don't manage to vote most of the time.  I NEVER get a response no matter how much suck-up mode I employ.

I don't IM at all anymore (tired of people taking affront when I don't have time to chat with them at odd hours of the night).  Generally my BOS votes are only share with you folks, but once in a blue moon I email Dave a note, which he may or may not tally.

BOS Knopfler/Straits/Notting Hillbillies (?)  ... The John Anderson version was a huge country hit and Knopfler played on it iirc.

VHM Neil, his last venture into folkier stuff before the current album.
Let's get right to it.

Neil, in full self-plagiarism mode.  He even mentions "Old man..." in the lyrics, so I guess he knew what he was doing.  Still in all, a good song.

So who's the female singer? Shawn Colvin? Nancy Griffith? Interchangeable, either way.

And did I miss it, or was there no bumper between the Neil tune and this one?

I'm glad you said this, Dave; I was thinking the exact same thing.
