My favorite year...

But ELP were big in '73 so there might be synths  ;)

Is there an anti-synth bias here that I have not previously discerned...?
[Oh, now I see... I guess I should read ahead.]

ELP were indeed big then, but I felt that they were already in decline.  I did not think that BSS
was quite as good as their earlier works.  I'd love to hear something from Larks' Tongues in Aspic,
Selling England by the Pound, In a Glass House, or even TTO, but if I thought that was going to
happen then I should be buying lottery tickets.  (Or Head Hunters, or Ashes Are Burning...)
Anyway, I don't particularly think of 1973 as a "synths" year.

'76 and '73 in the same week. Been awhile since that happened. (Let's hope the setlist backs up my expectations.)
Let's get right to it.

TOTHK: "What is Hip?", TOP.  I feel like we just heard this recently.

ETA: RR played it (also as TOTHK) in Feb., in one of her better '73 sets.  But it's a bit of an FF, wonderful as it is.

Yeah, it seems like it appears a couple times a year, which probably does qualify it as an FF.  But can you think of anything better to have to hear once every six months?

VHM BOS Dancin' With Mr. D.  From the era when Mick & Mick & Billy P. were driving the Stones while Keef was on the nod.

ETA: On further reflection this is def. BOS-worthy. Not my fave from this era, but we did just hear Fingerprint File, iirc.

Once we're past the inevitable "stream is behind" comments.
