uber-LN: "Wild Thing"

But, but, 100 million people learned to play the guitar on this song.

it's like the Smoke On The Water of 1966!

this Dylan song reminds me Shelly Duvall's character in  Annie Hall
If you're in a band, playing a party at 2AM, and you want the police to show up and put a stop to it all, whip out your medley of
Wild Thing
Hang on Sloopy
(one more my old brain is forgetting!)

Louie, Louie?
Slipping into something
And out of something else

in the mood for the Byrds and Simon & Garfunkel tunes. sad stuff.

The Barefootin' song was fun, though.

"damn, those short songs!"

Given all the Dylan, it's appropriate that I have Self-Portrait cued up for my post-set listening pleasure.

All the tired horses in the sun
How am I supposed to get any riding done?

the new "bootleg series" Dylan, Another Self-Portrait, reminded me that I didn't own a copy of the orig; found it on Amazon for 3 bucks. One of my characters is a Dylan fan and I have to decide how he feels about the much-maligned SP.  Yesterday I spent the afternoon listening to the entire Jim Croce catalog.

Donovan "Catch The Wind"

Surprisingly, this seems to be a bust-out.  Also, the Byrds' Chimes of Freedom was
a bust-out, although The Bruce's cover was played in 2004.
