25 April 2013: it's a "Classic" from 1998
« on: April 25, 2013, 07:58:32 AM »
could be '60s... could be our 2nd '90s set of the week.

if you'd like an interesting alternative, Atlantic 2NG is doing a retro chart from 1973 at 9am.  the UK Top 40 from this week in '73 -- should be awesome.

oy: 1998. Glad I've got '73 to fall back on.

And I am bailing too, since we just heard that *very same* Sheryl Crow song about 20 minutes before the hour.  Continuity FAIL.
Let's get right to it.

Wow, this is a terrible set, save the Soul Coughing rarity. But I gotta say, it's not a very good song.

I never "got" Soul Coughing.  Bought one of their albums (forget which one) because it was on all sorts of 10-Best lists and just hated it.

Yah, I could see that. I like some of their songs quite a lot, but I'm not sure I'd want to listen to a whole album.

Same here. A good friend whose taste I generally like was way into them and loaned me one of their records. I barely got thru it. Another case of YMMV.
