The Drive, week of 6/4/12
« on: June 04, 2012, 08:05:21 AM »
Mon 6/4/12: Blues Monday

Crapton's version of "Sweet Home Shee-Kah-Goh" (eek) followed by the Allmans to start.

Muddy Waters works his mojo; BOS the Animals, "I'm Crying" (an ATBB I'm certain).

inevitable: SRV, followed by BBK.

WOS: Blooze Bruddahs unnecessary cover of "Gimme Some Lovin'"

more obviousness: JLH, "Boom Booom Boom Boom"

More white blooze: Gary Moore.  Gaz's head would've exploded about 2 songs into this set.

BOS2: Jimi, "Red House"

Crapton - Sweet Home Chicago
Allman Brothers - Statesboro Blues
Muddy Waters - Got My Mojo Working
Animals - I'm Crying
Stevie Ray Vaughan - Texas Flood
B.B. King - The Thrill Is Gone
Blues Brothers - Gimme Some Lovin'
John Lee Hooker - Boom Boom
Gary Moore - Still Got the Blues
Jimi Hendrix - Red House

BOS BJ in Allentown.

LN: "Rock the Casbah"

NOOOOOOOOO!! WOS Rush, "Subdivisions"

EEEEK: Toto.

BOS2 Ms Benatar, "Shadows of the Night" sounding esp good after Rush & Toto

The Drive plays "Even Now" quite often, but it's Seger at his most Broooce-like and one I kinda overlooked at the time. BOS3.

BOS4 Pete, "Slit Skirts". No one respects the flame quite like the fool who's badly burned.

kinda LN but sadly still relevant: "Dirty Laundry"

Clash - Rock the Casbah
Rush - Subdivisions
Toto - Africa
Pat Benatar - Shadows of the Night
