'DAS is saluting Miss Ross on her B-day today; haven't heard the Supes' underrated "The Composer" in ages.

TANC: JJ plays the Brother To Brother version of "The Bottle"; I just put the Gil Scott Heron orig on a soul compilation I burned over the weekend.

wow, 'DAS unearths the Dynamic Superiors' "Shoe Shoe Shine," a 1974 Stylistics style ballad written/produced by Ashford & Simpson. Followed by the Delfonics' equally rare "I Told You So".

Someone at WDAS was thinking when they programmed the computer: they just segues from "Used to be My Girl" (O'Jays) to "When She Was My Girl" (4Tops). Nicely done.

2NG's retro chart is from March 1978 -- great stuff.  "The Ghost of Love" by Tavares is NTM -- did this even chart in the US?

Paging sg: the Jam, "News of the World"!

OMG: Suzi Quatro, "If You can't Give Me Love", which is like "Stumblin' In" without Chris Norman.

Samantha Sang... and the world listened!

double "HAAAAAY!" -- Rose Royce, "Wishing on a Star" and Eruption "I Can't Stand the Rain" Windows ain't got nuthin' to say, honey.
