I keep seeing mentions of Etta James' declining health due to leukemia, and that she is not long for this world. Keep a good thought that those are just rumors. Doesn't seem like it though.

She hung on for a month after the first reports of her failing health, but Etta James has now passed on. Guess she was waiting for Johnny Otis to go, too.

DJ Marilynn on KPOO is doing 3 hourse of Etta and Johnny Otis til noon. Just heard a swell Etta cover of "Take it to the Limit" that just wipes the floor with the Eagles orig.
